Pittsburgh hard rock trio M.E.L.T. dropped their thunderous new single "Ride" on August 12 — a crushing slab of Sabbath-worship that refuses to let go.

The video, premiering today, captures the track's unrelenting energy at the city's legendary Diamond Beach, a gritty underground venue where Pittsburgh's most vibrant subcultures converge. Filmmaker Max Cianci shot the clip during a sweltering 90-degree June day, capturing the chaos, camaraderie, and gasoline fumes of a scene that's as much outlaw as it is family.

Inspired by the trio's time at 2024's Vanhain gathering (an event celebrating van culture), "Ride" is pure adrenaline: a celebration of open-road freedom, dust, heat, and the kind of grit that clings to your skin long after the engine cuts out.

"Diamond Beach feels like you've driven through a portal," says J.J. Young, who handles both drums and lead vocals on the track. "One minute you're on the highway, the next you're in this surreal pocket of the world where everyone's just out to have a good time — and they had no problem with us cranking it to 11."

Following July's crushing "Mass Grave," "Ride" showcases M.E.L.T.'s signature fusion of sky-splitting riffs with fist-raising hooks. The track serves as their most direct salute yet to the Prince of Darkness — pure, unfiltered Ozzy-era rock twisted through the band's gritty Rust Belt DNA.
