Heavy shoegazers vide have unveiled their resonating new collection, decorated in spiderweb.
Amidst the gory industrial tones and goth rock riffs, the ethereal ambience of early shoegaze sweeps through the tracks. Indeed, the melancholic catharsis serves as a fitting tonic to the macabre swamp-infested horror of vide's deliciously blackened metal.
With the release of 2020 debut Hanging By The Bayou Light, vide emerged from the shadows surreptitiously, but with a bold and expansive sound, dipping into a unique palette of heavy devices.
In the three years that followed, two more full-length albums - Death Roll and The Parish - would see the light of day along with Beneath The Unholy, a nightmare-ish 8-track Split EP with Frank Iero's side project BLOODNUN.
Fans of the genre are set for yet another captivating offering, with new release, decorated in spiderweb.
Conveying a dexterous array of influence from dark wave to post-punk over just four tracks, vide's sonic output takes you on an anguish-laden journey into the unknown. Vocalist Nobody’s charred murmurings are dealt a jarring wake up by potent punk-edged percussion, with nods to Joyless and Darkthrone emanating from the album.
From the hypnotic march of "The Waltz That Carried Me To The Grave" to the swampy shoegaze of the title track, decorated in spiderweb will mesmerize and haunt in equal measure.
