The term Hardcore has always been hard to peg down for me. Around here, SGV hardcore has always been a little closer to the early 80's So. Cal hardcore of Black Flag, D.I., which in my opinion was fucking great because it always had more melody then the East Coast stuff (not trying to start an East Coast / West Coast thing here, just calling it like I see it.) So when I got the new Pechblende CD "Collapse" I was happy to hear that good hardcore still exists. So is it east coast or west coast? Neither, its Canadian, our neighbors to the north are turning out great fucking music right now and Pechblende delivers. This is a great mix of Grindcore and Hardcore. Check it out...
