A loud, high-energy rock record that finds The Stripp sharpening their sound and pushing past action rock into something bigger and heavier.

Melbourne rock band The Stripp have released their second album, Life Imitates Art, now available on LP, CD, and digital formats. The record is out via Spaghetty Town Records in North America, with Ghost Highway Recordings and Beluga Records handling releases across Europe. In Australia and New Zealand, the album is available directly from the band.

Formed in 2019, The Stripp have built a reputation on loud, fast, and no-frills rock shows. Their sound pulls from classic hard rock and punk, drawing clear lines to bands like AC/DC, Cosmic Psychos, Radio Birdman, and The Onyas. The result is a sharp, driving style that feels raw, direct, and built for the stage. Frontwoman Bek Taylor leads the band with a fierce presence, matching grit with swagger and giving the group a commanding edge.

Following the release of their debut album Ain’t No Crime To Rock n Roll in 2022, The Stripp stayed on the road, sharpening their sound through constant touring, headline shows, and festival appearances. They have shared stages with acts such as Supersuckers, ZEKE, Cosmic Psychos, Stiff Richards, and the Hard-Ons, solidifying their place in the modern rock underground.

Life Imitates Art captures a band leveling up. The album keeps the punch and speed of their earlier work while pushing into heavier riffs and a more explosive feel. The songs hit harder and sound bigger, reflecting years of live experience and growing confidence. Rather than sticking tightly to the action rock mold, The Stripp stretch it, giving the record a wider scope without losing its bite.

With Life Imitates Art now out, The Stripp continue to carve their own space in the global rock scene. Known for high-energy sets and relentless momentum, the band deliver a record that feels immediate and road-tested—an album that confirms their status as one of Australia’s most exciting rock bands right now.
