A veteran punk voice teams up with a Berlin musician for a fresh alternative rock release arriving this summer.

Jack Grisham is stepping into a new chapter with his latest project, Jack Grisham and the Life Undone. Known for his long history in punk, Grisham now joins forces with Berlin-based musician Lars Triesch for a collaboration that blends experience with a new creative direction. Their self-titled debut album is set for release on July 10 through Lost in Berlin Records.

The first single, “Pieces of the Sun,” is already out, offering an early look at the project’s sound. The track carries a strong, guitar-driven energy while also leaning into a more reflective tone. It balances movement and thought, showing a side of Grisham’s songwriting that feels both grounded and forward-looking.

The story behind the project adds another layer to the music. Grisham and Triesch first connected by chance at the Punk Rock Museum. What started as a casual idea quickly turned into a full collaboration, even though they were based on opposite sides of the world. Over several months, the two worked together remotely, using daily online sessions to write and shape the album.

Once the songs were ready, the project moved into recording. Much of the album was tracked in Berlin, with additional work completed in Los Angeles. A small group of collaborators helped bring the material to life, giving the record a tight and focused feel despite its long-distance origins.

The album is expected to move across a range of styles, from louder, anthemic moments to more stripped-back sections. Rather than looking back, the project aims to reshape Grisham’s sound for the present, building something that reflects both his past and where he is now as an artist.

With decades of work behind him, Grisham remains active and engaged, continuing to explore new ideas through music. Lars Triesch brings his own background in punk and indie scenes, helping to shape the project into something that feels balanced between two perspectives.

The album has not been released yet, but “Pieces of the Sun” sets the stage clearly. It introduces a collaboration built on distance, experience, and a shared push to create something new.
