Joybomb Unleash “Stigmata Palms” – A Punk-Charged Return for 2025 Joybomb

Memphis alt-rockers Joybomb charge into 2025 with “Stigmata Palms,” a punk-fueled anthem of angst, co-dependence, and high-energy catharsis.

Memphis alt-rock outfit Joybomb are back with their second single of 2025, the fiery and fast-paced “Stigmata Palms.” Brimming with punk urgency and hook-heavy guitar work, the track hits with the energy of a Warped Tour classic while diving headfirst into themes of romantic co-dependence and self-sacrifice. Full of angst yet undeniably fun, it rides a high-velocity emotional wave from start to finish.

The new single follows “I, Paparazzi,” released in June, which took aim at the numbing pull of social media and the addictive nature of online life. Together, the two tracks present different sides of Joybomb’s lyrical focus — one reflecting on personal relationships, the other critiquing broader cultural habits. Both songs are paired with animated visuals created by videographer Quinton Hickman, giving the music a vibrant visual edge.

Listeners familiar with the band’s 2024 Modern Scripture EP will recognize Joybomb’s signature blend of social commentary and emotional volatility. That record tackled consumer culture, chemical escapism, political absurdity, and the chaos of intimacy across six tracks, building a reputation for the band as sharp-eyed observers who turn frustration into cathartic rock anthems. With “Stigmata Palms,” Joybomb continue that mission, charging forward with unflinching honesty wrapped in infectious energy.

The 2025 version of the band features Grant Beatty (vocals, guitar), Conner Booth (vocals, bass), and Xander Sinclair (drums), now joined by Luki Luvsik on guitar. This refreshed lineup adds new force to the band’s sound while maintaining the raw chemistry that has defined their work so far. To capture that intensity, Joybomb once again teamed with engineer Matt Qualls, who handled recording, mixing, and mastering duties, just as he did for Modern Scripture.

“Stigmata Palms” shows a band unafraid of baring contradictions — pain and pleasure, despair and exhilaration, heartbreak and humor — all colliding in a single track. As Joybomb continue unveiling new music through 2025, they prove their ability to thrive in tension, turning turmoil into songs meant to be shouted, danced to, and felt in full.

Stay tuned for more from Joybomb later this year.
