New Orleans pop-punk band Neutral Snap’s collaborative EP “I Hardly Know Her” and the music video for “Pat Your Own Back”, released August 8, deliver high-energy songs about turbulent relationships with sharp riffs, melodic hooks, and emotional intensity.

New Orleans, LA – Pop-punk band Neutral Snap released their new EP I Hardly Know Her on August 8, along with a music video for “Pat Your Own Back.” Recorded at Audio Pilot Studio with producer Rob Freeman (Hidden in Plain View), the EP blends bright hooks, sharp riffs, and high-energy production to create a modern take on early-2000s pop-punk.

For the first time, Neutral Snap brought in outside collaborators for the songwriting process, working with Tom Denney (A Day to Remember), Fred Mascherino (Taking Back Sunday, Say Anything, The Color Fred), and others. The result is a set of songs built around the ups and downs of a push-and-pull “situationship” and the emotions that come with it.

The lead single, “Danny ACOG,” co-written with Denney, channels a story of unreturned attraction into a mix of punchy rhythms, sharp guitar lines, and raw yet tuneful vocals. It balances an edge of frustration with the bounce and drive that defines the pop-punk sound.

Another standout track, “Waltz,” was co-written with Mascherino and Freeman. It dives into the tension and uncertainty of undefined relationships, pairing melodic verses with choruses that burst with urgency and emotional weight.

The newest single, “Pat Your Own Back,” also co-written with Freeman, takes on the lingering conflict of a long-term relationship. The song moves from reflective, melodic sections into a powerful closing burst, mirroring the emotional highs and lows it describes. The track’s accompanying music video will arrive the same day as the EP.

Neutral Snap has already built a strong following, earning nearly five million plays across platforms and selling out shows throughout the U.S. Known for their fast tempos, driving riffs, and a stage presence that matches their recordings’ intensity, the band continues to push their sound while keeping its roots intact.

With I Hardly Know Her, Neutral Snap delivers a concentrated dose of modern pop-punk, driven by personal themes and crafted with both experience and outside creative input.
