Melissa Brooks and pop-punk band The Aquadolls release a raucous and rallying new single titled “Girl Riot”.

The Aquadolls was formed by the lead singer and writer of the band, Melissa Brooks, and is a fixture of the Southern California, Orange County DIY garage-rock scene.

On the new single "Riot Girl", Melissa Brooks and The Aquadolls give the pop-punk genre an energetic and ethusiastic work-out as they delve into the subjects of love, opening your mind, and hating being a teenager. As Brooks puts it, "“Girl Riot” is an anthem celebrating the strength and courage of any woman having to fight against what society expects you to accept, whether it be wage inequality or double standard social norms."

The Orange County-based indie label Burger Records released The Aquadolls' debut album, Stoked On You, in December 2014 and it reached #10 nationally on the U.S. CMJ charts.  The band is currently working on an upcoming EP and full-length with producer Aaron Greene who produced and co-wrote "Girl Riot."
