Naked Lights, the Oakland, California-based band scratch out a menacingly prickly and angular post-punk sound that blends in dub and anarcho-punk elements.
The band consists of Cameron Stephens (guitar/synth/bullhorn/percussion), Christopher Sprague (bass/organ/percussion), Josh Lindenfelzer (drums/percussion/synth/AM radio/saxophone/stylophone/suona), Christopher Hash (guitars), and Aurora Crispin (vocals).
Fans of X-Ray Spex/Poly Styrene and other punk outfits from the 70s/early 80s will find much to like on the upcoming album. On Nature was recorded at SANTO in Oakland, mixed and produced by Josh Roberts and Christopher Sprague, and engineered by Jonah Strauss. The fresh and vital album will be released on Castle Face January 29th, 2016.
