British pop-punk outfit Chasing The Fall have released a new music video for latest single, "City Lights".
The buoyant track is a hook-heavy ode to ambition, one that comes to life in the new video, a pertinent nod to the neon glow and frenetic buzz of New York City.
Lead vocalist Andy McMullin explains: "City Lights" is about coming from a small town and chasing something bigger. We wrote it during our stay in the States and that experience had a huge impact on the song. It captures the feeling of chasing your dreams whilst feeling scared, anxious and excited to take a chance and see where it can lead."
Since their inception barely two years ago, Chasing The Fall have built their reputation on huge choruses, infectious hooks and a tireless DIY work ethic that has seen the band chart very much their own course.
2024's debut EP Game Face proved an exciting introduction, showcasing the high-octane energy and soaring melodies with which the band have quickly become associated. Rather than resting on that early momentum, Chasing The Fall would kick on with a sharp, moreish run of singles.
The likes of "See You Tonight", "Lost & Never Found" and "The Show" would help project the band onto the national stage, earning BBC Radio 1 support as well as Kerrang Radio spins, as the quartet continued to break new ground.
New single "City Lights" is a fitting start to the band's new chapter on Manic Kat Records. Excited but never overawed by their own promising future, Chasing The Fall deliver a rousing anthem that harks to the 00s alternative rock stalwarts, as well as their pop-punk contemporaries.
