Australian rock band WAAX, led by wild-voiced frontwoman Marie, recently released a stirring debut EP and new video.

After launching themselves firmly at the world in 2014, the members of WAAX returned in 2015 bigger and better than ever.  Under the guidance of striking lead singer Marie DeVita, WAAX has amassed a slew of fervent supporters.

Pricking ears throughout Australia, and the world, with first two singles "Wisdom Teeth" and "I For An Eye", the band members then locked themselves away in outer-Brisbane’s Airlock Studios with producer Konstantin Kersting (Big Scary, The Belligerents, Mosman Alder) to record the songs that would eventually become their Holy Sick EP.

The result is 11 minutes and 14 seconds of pure WAAX. A thick mix of angry feelings of insignificance in 'I For An Eye', a middle finger to disappointment in 'Holy Sick' and 'Wisdom Teeth' and a display of the vulnerability that manipulation brings on the stripped back 'CC Thugs'. It's all wrapped up in their debut release - Holy Sick - with artwork constructed and designed by DeVita.

A new video for "Holy Sick" recently surfaced.  It was shot by Jaymis Loveday & team at WAAX's final headline show at Black Bear Lodge.
