Space-rock band Ex Comets gets spookily foreboding on its propulsive, Area 51/alien-themed single “From Roswell with Love”.

Space-rock sextet Ex Comets claims to hail from Leicester via Area 51 and to have been born from the remnants of exploded stars, which is technically true, if not incredibly specific. More recently, the atoms that make up their bodies have been part of We Three and the Death Rattle, Codex Leicester, and Death of London.

Ex Comets' debut single “Old Cool Red” was championed by indie taste-making legend John Kennedy on his Radio X - Xposure radio show, as well as gaining airplay from Amazing Radio and BBC Introducing. So far in their short life they have already shared stages with the now sadly defunct Amazing Snakeheads, Cheatahs, Lola Colt, and Conrad Keeley and raised the roof at Handmade Festival.

The band’s new single, “From Roswell with Love”, comes over all Sonic Youth guitars, the Pixies pop hooks, Grandaddy-style synths, and is sprinkled with a layer of space dust.  “From Roswell with Love” is out October 31 via Robot Needs Home.
