The Cheshire pop-punk crew stay grounded whilst chasing their dreams on new collection

British pop-punk outfit Chasing The Fall have released their new EP, Long Story Short.

Drawing inspiration from the memorable melodies of New Found Glory, the personality and hope of As It Is and the polish of You Me at Six , Chasing The Fall craft an ambitious but perennially relatable collection.

Shaping huge choruses, infectious hooks and a generation-spanning take on the genre, Long Story Short captures a band stepping into their next chapter with aplomb.

#TxT: LOVE LETTERS - "We wanted Love Letters to be about growing old with someone and what a great time you had however you take it through a relationship, marriage, friendship and the partnership you created until it all comes to a stop. Losing our Dad recently made this song hit a little harder with us and became a song about a life you build."

Since their inception barely two years ago, Chasing The Fall have built their reputation on huge choruses, infectious hooks and a tireless DIY work ethic that has seen the band chart very much their own course.

#TxT: GET OUT - "This track is really about finding yourself surrounded by the wrong people or In a situation where you feel like you’re losing yourself. You know you need to get out of it, see the world, dance if you really need to. Not let people dictate who you become and having the guts to walk away"

2024’s debut EP Game Face proved an exciting introduction, showcasing the high-octane energy and soaring melodies with which the band have quickly become associated. Rather than resting on that early momentum, Chasing The Fall would kick on with a sharp, moreish run of singles.

#TxT: CITY LIGHTS - "Now we actually had the balls to do this and pic up some shows over in the US, leaving our Hometown behind and chasing it in a HUGE city. There was excitement in this but also feel like you’re being watched and judged. Like, can we really do this ? We had the best time!"

The likes of “See You Tonight”, “Lost & Never Found” and “The Show” would help project the band onto the national stage, earning BBC Radio 1 support as well as Kerrang Radio spins, as the quartet continued to break new ground.

#TxT: SAME OLD STORY - SOS …. Did I actually mean anything to anyone when I was constantly “Pretending” to fit in. You can spend so much time trying to be a person OTHER people want you to be in certain social environments… but do they actually even care ?? I was the one who was changing and this song really reflects that.

The neon bounce of “City Lights” marked the start of the band’s new chapter this summer. Now, joined by the likes of gut-punch "Get Out" and anthemic "Same Old Story", Long Story Short brings the sum of what makes the band such a hot prospect whole.

#TxT: THAT’S WHAT SHE SAID - "We wanted to end the EP on a light-hearted note, it’s the obvious joke but the meaning is still hiding behind manipulation and how you’re not the first or probably the last this will happen to. We all fell for it "

Excited but never overawed by their own promising future, Chasing The Fall channel the spirit of the 00s alternative rock stalwarts alongside their pop-punk contemporaries, with a barrage of memorable melodies, insatiable choruses and and urgent vocal delivery for a sound laced with optimism.
