The heavy crew partner with Leiya from compatriots GreyNoise for melodic new single

Croatian metalcore outfit Ocean Of Another have unveiled their new single, “Ghosts of Broken Oaths”, ft Leiya of GreyNoise.

The track serves as the first taste of the band’s newly announced debut full-length album, I Need To Shed This Skin, set for release November 13th, 2026 via Metalsound Music.

Rooted in the band’s imposing blend of modern alternative metal and metalcore, “Ghosts of Broken Oaths” opens a new chapter for Ocean Of Another. Confronting emotional scars, the single announces an album centred around humanity’s struggle to escape the fear and conditioning that keep us divided, a notion more relevant now than ever.

Leiya’s vocal contribution brings a compelling new dimension to the track, complementing Ocean Of Another’s crushing heaviness and exposed vulnerability with resonating injections of melody.

Expanding on the narrative behind the song, vocalist Dorian Pavlović shares: “Ghosts of Broken Oaths tackle the theme of structural perversion at the heart of desire. Often, we sacrifice love and our loved ones as we strive to achieve goals that we believe will give our life meaning.

Pavlović continues: "In doing so we are indeed missing the point that love is the meaning - that our loved ones as well as love are never in the way of our self actualization. This song is a conversation between two lovers. One is trying to leave and sacrifice love on the altar of eternal glory, the other is trying to show him that without love no quest is truly worthy of undertaking.”

Formed in early 2022, Ocean of Another explore topics of mental health, addiction and the deeper meaning behind what it means to be human. Through their music, the band seek to offer listeners a place to connect and heal, an outlook captured by their tagline: “Become a drop in the Ocean Of Another” .

Since inception, the band have accumulated more than two million streams, and boast 15k monthly Spotify listeners, establishing themselves as one of the region’s most exciting emerging modern metal acts.

The line-up includes Dorian Pavlović (vocals) and Zlatko Štefančić (guitar), members of the country’s leading metal export Manntra, alongside Robert Ban Bebek on drums, Josip Pilipic (guitar, synth) and Sven Marenkovic on bass. Indeed, it’s that blend of fresh ideas and heavy music nous that impressed on early EPs One Day This Pain Will Subside and Loneliness Of My Kin.

Upcoming full-length, I Need To Shed This Skin questions why humanity has attempted to create meaning through conflict, servitude and death - and whether cruelty and self-interest truly represent our natural state. Rejecting the Homo homini lupus est belief that “man is a wolf to man”, Ocean of Another argue that human nature is fundamentally selfless, compassionate and caring. The album instead presents cruelty, apathy and endless consumption as learned behaviours, fuelled by unresolved trauma and exploited by those pursuing power and profit.

As Pavlović explains: “As a species, we are emotionally incredibly immature. This album is our way of confronting our shortcomings head-on and attempting to grow and mature, both as individuals and as a species. In a society filled with apathy and consumerism, there is only one revolution left: a revolution of the mind and soul. We need to burn down our conditioning, evolve beyond our trauma and pain, and rediscover our humanity.”

Sonically, I Need To Shed This Skin textures explosive guitars with perforating percussion; the band showcase soaring melodies and an introspective ambience that cuts through the technically proficient soundscape, offering a parlay of fire, fury and hope.

Fans of Thornhill, The Plot In You and Silent Planet will have their appetites whetted by lead single “Ghosts of Broken Oaths”, as Ocean of Another showcase the best of modern day metalcore, whilst nodding to some of the 10’s favourites.
