Southern rockers Drive-By Truckers are currently in Athens Georgia's Chase Park Transduction Studio A recording their eighth studio album which is expected to be released in early 2008. While a title and tracklist have yet to be announced, David Barbe is said to be producing, while legendary keyboardist Spooner Oldham (Aretha Franklin, Traffic) provides additional accompaniment. In the meantime, keep an eye out for DBT frontman Patterson Hood's solo effort, Murdering Oscar And Other Love Songs, which according to his website, will be finished mixing in mid-December.
