New York based indie-punk label Manic Kat Records has opened their first international office, partnering with BSB TV to launch Manic Kat Records UK.
A label that has long looked to champion emerging punk and alternative music from beyond the US alone, Manic Kat Records' international outlook is nothing new.
In recent years, the label has put out releases from Mexico, UK and Canada and beyond, with an ear to the ground globally when it comes to the top emerging talent.
Label owner Peter James shares: "We are partnering with our friends, Ben and Danny, at BSB TV to expand our ever-growing footprint and have a physical presence in the United Kingdom."
BSB TV's Ben Pritchard & Danny Marty Rae, will now be entrusted with A&R capabilities, giving them the ability to identify, champion and officially fast-track artists they believe have the potential to thrive within the Manic Kat ecosystem and in the wider market.
In a joint statement the BSB TV co-owners explain: "We are excited to announce a major expansion of our collaboration with New York based indie powerhouse, Manic Kat Records. This new phase positions BSB TV as a direct talent pipeline into the label, bridging our platform’s growing community of rising artists with a reputable international record label. For artists and bands submitting to our platform, the stakes and the opportunities have never been higher. Visibility on BSB TV now offers genuine career pathways, real label conversations and the possibility of a global network supporting your next chapter."
Manic Kat Records has also announced a sync licensing partnership with MakeSound TV.
