Leatherface doing more U.S. tour dates in support of ‘The Stormy Petrel’

Sunderland, UKs Leatherface will be returning to the States for a tour in support of their most recent studio album, 'The Stormy Petrel,' released last month on No Idea Records. The tour will be a month long, with more dates confirming soon. Ninja Gun and label mates Young Livers have been selected for support.

'The Stormy Petrel' is the bands ninth full-length album and was released by various labels worldwide. The North American LP/CD version was released March 23rd via No Idea Records. Their version features entirely different cover art and overall layout than the European, Japanese, and Australian versions.

Leatherface formed in August 1988, and their music has often been described as a bastardized cross between Hsker D and Motrhead. Though never attaining much more than a cult following outside their native country, the band has been cited as an influence by higher-profile acts such as Hot Water Music, Dillinger Four, and Tiltwheel.

Leatherface recently toured Canada and the eastern US, concluding in an appearance at this years Harvest of Hope Fest in St. Augustine, FL.
