SoCal alternative rockers Scarlet Bandit have unleased their new single, "Best Friends Forever".
The summer-ready pop-punk anthem is a frank and vivacious offering, as the group takes a starkly relatable look at the severance of a relationship, while retaining their potent sonic stylings, with urgent and infectious sparring at every bend.
Discussing the story behind the track, front-person Jade Vitriol shares: ""Best Friends Forever" is a song about being betrayed by someone you trusted. It's the feeling of not being able to blame them completely because the signs were always there, so you end up landing somewhere between “f*ck you” and “I should’ve known".”
Breaking onto the scene with the release of 2024 debut album Lose Your Blues, Scarlet Bandit burst out the gates with a high octane, expressive brand of alternative rock.
Nodding to their pop-punk idols of present day and yesteryear, the Los Angeles trio imbue their tracks with a splash of the silver screen. The electric charisma of front person Jade Vitriol steers a thrilling sonic rollercoaster, balancing driving guitars and rousing choruses.
Collaborations with The Dangerous Summer and Outline in Color further aided Scarlet Bandit's trajectory, with a compelling brand of storytelling that flows with angst and relatability, but also an infectious sea of hooks.
Having kicked off 2025 with "Rockstar Girlfriend", the trio return with the whip-sharp "Best Friends Forever". On the new track, Vitriol & co, track the demise of a relationship, tackling heartbreak and failure with their moreish melodies and captivating delivery.
