Have the UK’s answer to Hot Mulligan arrived?

Midwest emo/pop-punk outfit Voted Most Likely have dropped new single, "I'm Still Using My Old MSN Password".

The band have also announced their signing to Manic Kat Records.

Built on soaring melodies, intricate guitar work, and straight-talking lyricism, Voted Most Likely delve into themes of self-doubt, heartbreak and growing pains, as they bring together a colourful palette of throwback pop-punk and contemporary emo.

The band's vocalist Jack Allen shares: “"I’m Still Using my Old MSN Password" is our take on Midwest Emo, the irony of a song that you can dance along to, paired with lyrics that are centered around heartbreak and sorrowful regrets.”

Hailing from the UK's Northeast, Voted Most Likely splay the twinkling guitars and heart-on-sleeve lyricism of Midwest emo, with the energy and urgency of melodic indie punk acts like The Front Bottoms and The Menzingers.

Entering the scene with 2024 single, "Coffee at Luke's" Voted Most Likely balance raw emotional weight with infectious hooks; latest EP Regardless, I Love You delivered a collection of tracks equally as adept at thoughtful introspection as anthemic singalongs.

With their new single, "I'm Still Using My Old MSN Password", Voted Most Likely register a track that feels cathartically nostalgic, whilst nodding, unmistakably, to some of the best in the game presently like Hot Mulligan, Arms Length and Saturdays at Your Place.

The Newcastle outfit's messy, unapologetic look at growing up is charmingly self-deprecating but adorned with pop sensibility, and set onto a canvas of catchy melodies.
