Black Numbers is the purveyor of art for a constantly expanding number of artists whose music allows them to be. Purposely vague in direction and genres with which the label associates itself, Black Numbers exists solely to support independent music. While it may be difficult to say exactly what the label is, it is much easier to say what it is not. Black Numbers is not a political platform. While we embrace the DIY ethic, we would like to think ourselves as not being limited by a single community or social movement. Our artists will inevitably have their own spin on a ton of issues; we exist not to support or spread any single message, but to allow bands an opportunity to share their music with as many people as possible. This is not to say that the people involved in the label have no opinion, just that we view expressing ourselves as secondary to helping maintain a forum for expression.
