Remember listening to really early green day demos? I remember thinking "There is nothing special or technically interesting about this but it's fucking good." I think that what's really at the heart of good punk rock. Joe Jitsu has that for the pop-punk set. You listen to some of the songs on "The Perfect Life" and think, yeah it's OK, and then you go off to your job or to class and find that the song is on repeat in your brain. I think the song that best demonstrates this is track 2, now or never is something that we've heard before but is executed so well that the song quickly becomes one of your favorites. This is a solid CD if your looking for clean sounding pop-punk about girls and broken hearts.
