The new album 'At Half Mast' from LA's own 'The Scarred' is out now from Basement Records. Judging by the sound of this record it looks like these road dogs found a good home with Basement after their last label, Punkcore, closed up shop. The Scarred are everything you want in a good punk rock band and they're not afraid to throw in a catchy hook wrapped around those trademark punchy guitar riffs. They're fiercely energetic and sure there are plenty of comparisons to west coast stalwarts from times past such as The Adolescents and Bad Religion but their music really stands on it's own. Give it a listen and see for yourself.
