Chiodos are also known for putting on an intense live show, with members jumping off balconies and whatnot. They will be supporting Linkin Park and Coheed and Cambria for their arena tour through May 3rd.
Bone Palace Ballet
With their first album receiving over a million plays on Myspace, Chiodos have kept up the DIY ethic for their second album, showing they are not intimidated of the dreaded sophmore release with Bone Palace Ballet. Lush orchestral arrangements and heavily layered guitars make the album much more fun to listen to than the average screamo album, and singer Craig Owens delivers intelligent lyrics with an incredible vocal range. Musically, Bone Palace is all over the place, with tastes of punk, hardcore, and 80's metal, and a somewhat more surprisingly classical and cabaret influence, as can be heard on their first single, "Lexington"(Joey Pea-Pot with a Monkey Face)". The band's ability to create strong hooks enables them to experiment musically, which they take liberal advantage of and most of the time they get it right.
