Montreal ska-punk veterans K-Man & The 45s return with “We Won’t Stop,” the first single from their forthcoming album, Heed The Call.

Montreal ska-punk band K-Man & The 45s have released their new single “We Won’t Stop,” offering the first look at Heed The Call, their upcoming album due October 9 through Stomp Records.

Built from two-tone ska, punk rock and straight-ahead rock and roll, “We Won’t Stop” captures the energy the band has developed through more than a decade of touring. A chant-ready hook sits alongside a driving rhythm section and prominent horns, giving the track the feel of something designed to hit hardest in a crowded room.

The song also brings a political edge to that energy. Its frustration is aimed directly at leadership and the people holding power, favoring blunt language over metaphor. Rather than separating the message from the party-ready side of ska, K-Man & The 45s push both together, turning frustration into something communal and physical.

“We Won’t Stop” was recorded and mixed by Ryan Battistuzzi at Le Stuzzio in Montreal. The performance reflects a band shaped by years on the road, with the horns functioning as a driving part of the arrangement rather than decoration around its punk foundation.

K-Man & The 45s have spent their career touring throughout Canada, the United States and Europe, building their following through live performances rather than chasing a more polished or trend-focused version of ska. Their sound draws from two-tone and classic ska while carrying the heavier punk attack associated with bands like The Clash, Mad Caddies and fellow Montreal group The Planet Smashers.

That approach will continue on Heed The Call. The upcoming record is described as one of the band’s hardest-hitting and most live-focused releases, pairing the celebratory chaos of their earlier material with a sharper sense of tension.

With “We Won’t Stop,” K-Man & The 45s make the album’s intentions clear early: keep the horns loud, keep the room moving and keep pushing forward.
