The Decemberists are taking their new record, The Hazards of Love, on the road. The band has announced the first leg of dates on it's North American tour in support of the upcoming album.

The Hazards of Love, out March 24 on Capitol Records, is a 17-track concept album featuring characters voiced on tour by Lavender Diamond's Becky Stark and My Brightest Diamond's Shara Worden. The group will perform Hazards in it's entirety, with the debut live performance occurring at NPR Music's South By Southwest showcase at Stubbs in Austin on March 18.

A limited number of pre-sale tickets go on sale today at www.decemberists.tickets.musictoday.com, on a first come first serve basis. The rest of the tickets go on sale Friday.
