Solo drummer extraordinaire DRMAGDN electrifies at the drumkit on anthemic new tune “Get Tough” that also features The Voice’s Manny Cabo on vocals.
The acclaimed DRMAGDN is a mighty force in the NYC electronic music scene and beyond, as well as an in-demand DJ, producer, and director.
His drum-work prowess has been featured on over 175 records, he’s toured nearly 25 countries and almost all of the US, and performed at prestigious events and festivals including The Winter Olympics, Lollapalooza, Warped, and Bamboozle.
DRMAGDN is a DIY musician who writes, records, and produces everything himself, and he’s been releasing singles with singers from mega-hit TV shows The Voice and American Idol.
His latest energetic and tuneful track, “Get Tough” shows DRMAGDN teaming up with The Voice’s Manny Cabo on heartfelt and enthusiastic vocals.
A full orchestra comprises much of the instrumentation, including a strings section who played on Coldplay’s “Viva La Vida,” a horns section who also did Kanye West’s “All of the Lights,” and a bass player who has worked with Alicia Keys and Ed Sheeran.
Rebel Noise is stoked to host the premiere of the enjoyable music video for the song, which showcases all manner of physical activity as a way to get and stay strong and healthy.
The colorful and kinetic music video is a breath of fresh air, figuratively and literally, as viewers watch a bunch of athletes and physically daring people in the great outdoors (and indoors) perform stunts and activities that use the body to the extreme – from skateboard tricks and surfing trips to all sorts of flips (parkour, cheerleading, motorbike), it’s an exhilarating montage that’s intercut with an equally thrilling performance from DRMAGDN at the drumkit.
