Born and raised in São Paulo, Brazil, and based in London for more than a decade, Muca brings and album as a melting pot of influences from his music childhood background blended with all the years writing and producing in London.
Blue Moon Bossa is a delicate tapestry of love stories set against the backdrop of London life. Blending bossa nova, soul, Latin grooves, jazz colours, and contemporary indie sounds.
Each song captures a scene, a feeling, or a fleeting moment.
The title track "Blue Moon Bossa" opens with a brazilian-bossa dreamy reflection on longing and chance encounters. "Cheap Red Wine" tells a late-night story of broken heart, while "Bus 55" rides through the lonely late night streets of London, sketching silent portraits of the city's hidden lives looking for her lover.
“Mango Tree” is a deeply personal and introspective ballad that captures the ache of emotional absence, the fragility of connection, and the quiet strength in vulnerability. A sun-drenched, emotionally rich track that blends Latin rhythms, jazzy textures, and samba rock grooves, while "October Blues” brings a tender, autumnal ending to the album’s journey.
"Blue Moon Bossa is about the small stories that shape and connects us — the ones found in quiet bars, night buses, parks at sunset, and love stories as well” says Muca.
Muca brings to the spot, singer La Marquise du Cosmique, the enigmatic character; a mysterious figure whose voice weaves a haunting tale of love, loss, and the cosmic beauty of life itself. Imagine a female Jeff Buckley with a touch of Rickie Lee Jones and Kate Bush—a voice that floats between ethereal beauty and raw, soulful intensity. Her music blends cosmic wonder with the poignant, fleeting moments of human connection, drawing inspiration from the streets of London, where love stories fade in the shadow of the city’s ever-moving pulse.
The album is as well an announcement of his most exciting music to date. He’s now full-on working on his album together with Bossa Nova master Roberto Menescal, on their album ‘BELEZA’, that will be put in November 25'.
"I’m really eager to release Blue Moon Bossa. Even in this era dominated by singles, I still believe albums hold a special kind of magic. They tell a story — they capture a moment in time that lasts forever. This album marks the beginning of an incredibly creative and exciting chapter in my life, where I truly began to dive deeper into writing and producing more personal music, often in collaboration with amazing artists and musicians.
The alum I am doing with Menescal sounds spectacular — both in terms of production and songwriting. I genuinely can’t wait to share it with the world. More than that, I want to give Blue Moon Bossa the platform it deserves — to let her voice and story resonate far beyond this project."
