Canadian post-hardcore band Shotmaker are celebrating the 30th anniversary of their influential second album, Mouse Ear [Forget-Me-Not], with a special vinyl reissue through Solid Brass. The anniversary edition is scheduled for release on Sept. 18, 2026, giving longtime fans and new listeners another chance to experience one of the defining releases of the mid-1990s underground hardcore scene.

Originally released 30 years ago through Troubleman Unlimited, Mouse Ear [Forget-Me-Not] became known for combining heavy post-hardcore with melodic emotion and angular songwriting. The album balances crushing riffs with dynamic rhythms and thoughtful arrangements, helping establish Shotmaker as one of Canada's most respected underground bands.

Formed in 1993 by friends Matt Deline, Tim McKeough, and Nick Pye, Shotmaker began in the Ontario communities of Tweed and Belleville before relocating to Ottawa the following year. Although the band's career lasted only until 1996, they built a lasting reputation through constant touring, energetic live performances, and a steady stream of releases that included two 7-inch records, two full-length albums, a split LP, and several compilation appearances.

Throughout their time together, Shotmaker performed alongside influential acts including Unwound, Fugazi, Cap'n Jazz, Modest Mouse, Propagandhi, Los Crudos, and Blonde Redhead. Their music also played an important role in shaping the evolving melodic emo hardcore sound that emerged during the decade.

The upcoming anniversary edition follows the success of A Moment In Time: 1993-1996, a limited three-LP box set released with Solid Brass in 2023 that quickly sold out. This new standalone pressing gives fans another opportunity to own one of the band's most celebrated records.

Limited to 1,000 copies, the reissue will be pressed on tricolor splatter vinyl and packaged with the original album artwork. It also includes a newly printed inner sleeve featuring lyrics, live photographs, and fresh commentary from singer and guitarist Tim McKeough, offering additional insight into the album's creation and legacy.
