Empired has released a powerful new video for their single “Blood on the Ceiling,” offering a raw look into personal struggle ahead of their upcoming album.

Southern California punk band Empired has just released a music video for their new energetic single, “Blood on the Ceiling.” The track is out now on HEY!FEVER Records and will be part of the band’s upcoming album.

“Blood on the Ceiling” is about growing up with a parent who struggles with drug addiction and mental health issues. Guitarist and vocalist Bruce Zebal explains that the song is personal and emotional, showing how pain, confusion, and forgiveness shape a person. “There is hope,” says Zebal. “It’s not about the family we’re born into, but the family we choose.” The song was recorded and mixed by Empired’s guitarist Cameron Mosavian, and mastered by respected producer Paul Miner, who is known for his work with bands like Thrice and New Found Glory.

Empired formed in May 2023. The band includes Jai Hansel on bass and vocals, Danny Baeza on drums, and Bruce Zebal on guitar and vocals. Later, Cameron Mosavian joined the group to help build a fuller, louder sound. Together, the four quickly began working on their debut album, Finding Calm in the Chaos.

Since then, Empired has been busy. They’ve played shows across Southern California and have finished multiple tours. The band continues to grow and build a strong fanbase through their hard-hitting sound and honest lyrics. Like other scene bands including Circa Survive or Mewithoutyou, Empired blends emotional intensity with a sharp, driving punk sound. Their ability to turn personal pain into powerful songs shows the same kind of fearless honesty that made Death By Stereo stand out.

The music video for “Blood on the Ceiling” is now available to stream, giving fans a first look at what to expect from the band’s new direction. With raw emotion and a clear message, the video matches the song’s serious tone and intense energy. Empired’s story is just getting started, but they’re already making noise with their thoughtful songs and sharp punk sound. Their full album is on the way, and more tour dates are coming soon. Keep an eye on Empired as they move forward.
