Washington DC’s SEXFACES Drop Loud Post Punk Debut Album ‘BAD VIBES OST’ SEXFACES
Reviewed by Sam Lowry

Punk band SEXFACES from Washington, DC has released their first full-length album, BAD VIBES OST, through Slovenly Records. The album was released on May 21, 2025, and it’s already making noise in the underground rock world.

SEXFACES play a loud, dirty mix of punk, post-punk, and garage rock. Their songs are messy in the best way; raw, noisy, and full of dark energy. If you like bands like The Stooges, The Bad Seeds or Royal Trux, this record might be right up your alley.

The band is made up of Jacky Cougar on drums, Sal Go on guitar, Hana Racecar on viola, and FiFi Allin on bass. They each come from different local bands but now bring all that experience together. The sound they make is heavy, sharp, and sometimes even weird, but in a cool, creative way.

Key songs on BAD VIBES OST include “Feed Machine,” “Babies,” and “Can’t Do That!” “Feed Machine” also has a music video out now, which shows off the same rough and wild style as their songs. The album was recorded in 2024 with Dan Angel and produced by Ben Schurr. It was mastered by Jim Diamond, known for working with other wild rock bands.

The lyrics deal with anger, anxiety, and sometimes even jokes; like calling in someone’s cousin during recording to talk about a song, but the cousin didn’t want to. The band says they make music for “bad people,” but it’s hard not to get pulled in by the energy.

To support the album, SEXFACES is going on tour across the U.S. They’ll play cities like Chicago, Memphis, and Atlanta between late May and early June. Fans can check out their music and merch on Bandcamp and follow them on Instagram for updates.

BAD VIBES OST is messy, bold, and impossible to ignore. SEXFACES are not trying to be clean or perfect; they’re here to make loud music, and they do it well.
