The stripped-back and heartfelt tracks on the record are deeply personal to the musician.

In-yer-face Lars Frederiksen, the frontman of renowned punk rock outfit Rancid, has gone introspective for his debut solo record, To Victory EP, which released in late November via Pirates Press Records.

The EP is made up of six stripped-down tracks that are more reflective versions of numbers from his other acts, The Old Firm Casuals and Lars Frederiksen & The Bastards, as well as choice cover songs.

A heartfelt and contemplative, yet still raw and powerful Frederiksen offers up this personal collection done with deep conviction and well-worn, but still passionate spirit.

Frederiksen puts a fresh spin on classics from his past, from his own work to reimagining other musicians’ songs.

The pandemic sidelined Frederiksen from supporting the EP with live performances (for now), with the only show played at Eli’s Mile High Club in Oakland before the pandemic struck.

To Victory is available on 12” vinyl, CD, and cassette formats:
