Austin, Texas-based alternative rock band Arrows To Fire know their way around an anthemic rock song, and they do it once again on their tunefully blasting single “I’m Supersonic” that just launched today.
Like the title states, it’s an exhilaratingly propulsive ride, driven by emphatically slammed drum beats, ultra-gritty guitar lines, pushing low-end bass, and catchy vocals.
It follows up pandemic-themed “A Million Miles Away” and was mixed by renowned producer Tim Palmer (U2, Robert Plant, Ozzy Osbourne, Pearl Jam).
Rebel Noise is stoked to host the premiere of the graphic design-saturated music video for the kicky track. The video is a peaen to all-things speedy, and specifically about the dangerous (al)lure of motorcycles.
In the clip all sorts of geometrically inclined imagery batters the eyes, quickly flashing by. The pix are mostly in black ‘n’ white and are superimposed over other visuals shot in devilish red and octane flame-blue, including pictures of the single’s artwork and footage of streaming car lights on the highway and motorcycles zooming down desert roads.
Arrows To Fire is a collaboration between Austin-native John Joyo (vocals) and French/American guitarist Chris Lavigne. He enthusiastically comments, “Get ready for a ride and rock on.”
Joyo gets into the specifics, adding, “Chris and I both love Harley Davidson motorcycles and both love anything that goes fast. “I’m Supersonic” is written from the perspective of a vintage 74 cubic inch Harley Davidson Shovelhead motor.”
