Sometime in 1996 a group of friends from the surrounding cities of Monterey Park, San Gabriel, Alhambra, and Rosemead CA. decided to find an outlet other than skateboarding and masturbation to unleash their frustrations and pent-up-teenage-rage. Much like other teenagers that came before them, the outlet they chose was punk rock. Influenced by bands like Bad Religion, Strung Out, Good Riddance, Minor Threat, Black Flag, L.A. hardcore legends Dead Fucking Last, Minor Threat, AFI and a lot of metal (mostly late 80's and early 90's hair-metal) L.D.S. began bringing their own brand of aggressive and furious semi-melodic hardcore punk rock infused with messages of anger, dissapointment, injustice and daily struggles through out backyards in the San Gabriel Valley of Southern California and its surrounding areas.

Over the past few years L.D.S. has broken up, reformed, changed members and has continued to grow stronger and build a larger fanbase with each incarnation. L.D.S. has continued to play bigger and better shows and has had the opportunity to share the stage with amazing bands (both well known and lesser known) such as The Generators, Moral Crux, Running Late, The Family Dog Concpiracy, The Stitches, The Skulls, Smog Town, The Nipples, Audio Karate and Union 13. The current line-up of Mike Lai (guitar/vocals), Dave Andrews (bass/vocals), Eric Valdez (lead vocals) and Joe Glick (drums) has made the band better than it has ever been.
