Schoolyard Heroes, "Abominations" is a great record. It took a few listens for me to appreciate how good this disc really is. Just the right amount of punk, metal and pop riffs to keep you interested and coming back for more!.

Lead vocalist, Johan Bergman has an amazing vocal range and the angst to fuel those golden pipes of hers. Gwen Stefani, in her No Doubt days couldn't hold a candle to Johan's power. The other members of this foursome are no slouches either. The music is hard driving and played with great skill and enthusiasm. It not emo, it's not punk and it's not metal, yet it has all those elements and Schoolyard Heroes have taken it all and made themselves a sound that is all their own.

And for that I tip my hat to them and say, keep it coming. I will definitely be there when they next hit town. I can't wait to see them play, "Cemetery Girl" and all the other cool tracks from this record. Thanks for showing all the wimpy bullies how to play it right! You are heroes on my stereo right now.
