Connecticut melodic punk band American Thrills release new video for their latest single “Old Things” off their most recent EP.

American Thrills have just released a compelling new video for their latest single “Old Things” off their most recent EP of the same name. Gravelly vocals over melodic chord progressions bring an energy to the band’s sound that is well executed and full of heart and emotion. The band’s sound brings to mind the likes of Hot Water Music mixed with a little Samiam and Gaslight Anthem, but with a unique feel and delivery.

A song with a positive message in these trying times, the band shares: On “Old Things, sometimes life tries to beat you down. 'Old Things' is about trying to keep your head up in even the darkest times."

The track starts with vocals as the instruments come in slowly until they erupt in full force after a stop around the 30 second mark, leading into the hooky chorus that will stick in your head for days, and highlighting the crisp production.

The EP was engineered by Nick Bellmore (Make Do And Mend / Hatebreed) and Mixed/Mastered by John Naclerio (Brand New / My Chemical Romance).

The EP is available via New School Records (US) and Cat's Claw Records (UK).
