Renowned singer-songwriter Daniel Johnston embarks on his final tour backed by a rotating cast of musicians, including Jeff Tweedy & Friends, Built to Spill, Modern Baseball, the Districts and others.

Daniel Johnston has announced his final set of live dates. This fall, Johnston will play shows backed by bands that “he has influenced,” in cities distinct to those artists. For example, Jeff Tweedy & Friends will join Johnston in Chicago. He also has concerts with Built to Spill in Portland and Vancouver, the Preservation All-Stars in New Orleans, and the Districts and Modern Baseball in Philadelphia. For each show, Johnston’s backing band will create the setlist, and each night will begin with a screening of the 2005 documentary The Devil and Daniel Johnston. Find the full itinerary below. Johnston’s last release was 2012’s Space Ducks, the soundtrack for his comic book and iPad video game of the same name.
